Novotechnik is a component manufacturing business that is probably best known for introducing the first potentiometers into the machine engineering industry, around 60 years ago. Since those days, the business has gone on to develop a number of technologies used in positional transducers. It has established a well-deserved reputation for the reliability of both its rotary and linear potentiometers, which often offer an extended operational lifetime. As well as designing a number of measuring transducers and signal processors and converters, Novotechnik makes accessories such as connectors, cables and programmable process control displays. With a North American base of operations in Southborough, Massachusetts, Novotechnik has a division devoted entirely to the needs of the automotive industry that is located in Livonia, Michigan. Its European production facilities are situated in Biel, Switzerland, and Ostfildern, Germany. Novotechnik is itself a brand of the larger Siedle Group. The manufacturing processes of the company are certified as achieving the ISO/TS 16949 standard. Novotechnik offers a great deal of choice with its position and angle sensors - this range includes rotary or angular position sensors and linear position sensors. The latter are available in a variety of sizes, with lengths from 48mm to 1660mm being produced as standard. Its rotary sensors are available in multi-turn versions as well as in touchless products.

Therefore our position transducers are available in an extremely broad range of designs, in measuring lengths from 5 to 4,250 mm, as potentiometric or contactless models, with various signal outputs, as a complete sensor or as components.

Rotary Sensors

We offer our products in many sizes and versions to best meet the requirements of our customers. Therefore our rotary sensors are available in a wide variety of mechanical configurations from extremely small diameters with very low torque to sealed units in heavy cast housings.
